Thomas Edison as a lad was like all boys, always asking questions. His mother, finally exasperated,
told him, "Go fly a kite", which he promptly did. The result, he discovered electricity.
Not satisfied, he went on to invent the "talking machine" and electric lights. These are but
a few of his inventions he gave us and paved the way for even more marvelous things. Like laser beams,
space flights, computers and a host of others.
So Mr. Edison we’re in your debt.
It looks like we ain’t seen nothing yet!
Every day there’s something new,
And it’s all because of you!
You wish you hadn’t done it, I’ll bet!
